Living

There are two lovely spaces for those days when you just want to relax at home, or for chilling out in at the end of the day. The airy Sun Room has huge windows that offer a panoramic view over the dramatic Cornish countryside and two plush sofas to recline in and watch the world go by. During warmer months, double doors open onto the surrounding slate tiled terrace bringing the outside and the birdsong in - just gorgeous! The cosy Snug has a sumptuous Loaf sofa, bespoke furniture and an elegant Art Nouveau decorative fireplace. Both rooms are equipped with a Smart TV for when a movie night calls or if you just want to catch up on your favourite television series.

Eating

The well-equipped kitchen not only looks beautiful, with gorgeous slate floors and bespoke tiled work surfaces, but also comes fully fitted with everything you'll need to create delectable dishes for your loved ones. There's a fabulous Rangemaster cooker with a five-burner hob, retro fridge-freezer, and a dishwasher.

Exposed granite walls open onto the enticing dining room which is just perfect for feasts - we love the handsome French bistro dining table which easily seats eight, the original Rayburn (for decorative purposes only!), the stylish side unit with Rancilio Espresso machine and the accompanying sound system with Bluetooth to stream your favourite sounds while you dine in style.

Sleeping

Follow the lovebirds to the top of the stairs and you will find three gorgeous bedrooms - one king size, one double and a pretty twin with bunk beds - perfect for little ones. Each has uninterrupted views of the countryside. The master bedroom has an elegant wrought iron four poster bed, a lovely decorative Art Nouveau fireplace, fitted wardrobe and plenty of under bed storage. The double and twin are also beautifully decorated with fitted wardrobe and hanging space respectively. All are swathed in crisp white linens, sumptuous duvets and pretty throws. The peace and solitude here is sure to lull you into a blissful nights' sleep.

Bathing

Rosewall Cottage has two fabulous bathrooms. Downstairs, there's a spacious bathroom with traditional 'rain' style shower and a freestanding claw-footed bath tub for two. Upstairs, there's a fully fitted wet room including a shower. Both have heated towel rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

The cottage is surrounded by oodles of outdoor space, making it perfect for relaxing in the sun-soaked grounds during the summer months. Take time out to unwind on the slate terrace which wraps around the sun room (loungers and deck chairs provided), or enjoy alfresco meals on the timber deck whilst listening to the trickling stream from the reservoir in front of you. As Rosewall Cottage is nestled on the edge of this pretty reservoir fishing permits can be obtained for any anglers out there.

Parking

There is private parking for up to three cars.

WiFi

Rosewall Cottage has WiFi so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.

The Longest Beaches in Cornwall

Cornwall is home to many beautiful beaches: the golden frontiers between land and sea. But which are the longest beaches in Cornwall, and where can you find them?

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Rosewall Cottage:

Incredibly accommodating and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend to my family and friends

Wonderful cottage and great location. We have been holidaying in St. Ives for 10 years and this was one of the best cottages we've ever had.

Wonderful cottage and location

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations on all levels. Beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed, you can tell a lot of love and care has been put in to this home. We would highly recommend and will be back

Reservoir Cottage is immaculately cared for and beautifully finished. We really enjoyed the dining area, a lovely long table on which to place multiple plates of lovely grub. The sun room affords a beautiful view of the hills where we loved watching the sun go down. The location means the car can be left behind if you fancy a stroll to St Ives, but equally, other beautiful walks, beaches and indoor attractions are within a short drive. The bathrooms are splendid - my sister loved the downstairs shower.

Loved escaping the hustle and bustle of St Ives and nearby beaches to the calm, green idyll of the cottage.

A very comfortable and lovely cottage away from the hustle of St Ives, but close enough to walk. Also great for accessing the coast further west and south. Would recommend the Sennen to Lands End walk. Also the coastal path Zennor to Gurnards Head is gorgeous. A fantastic place to stay.

We loved the sun room and the garden.

Excellent location and accommodation thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Russell’s

Great house in a great location

Lovely comfortable house in very peaceful location but only about a 30 min walk to central St Ives. Spotlessly clean with lovely decor and quality furnishings. Very kind welcome gifts and very helpful housekeeper on hand if any problems. All in all a first class property and will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Just perfect! Lovely cottage with a lot of space inside and outside. Amazing sun terrace to watch sunset. Great starting point to do a lot of walks to nearby hills, coast and to town. Thank you for this wonderful experience

A fabulous and homely place to stay. We would definitely recommend it.

A really lovely cottage, in a beautiful location. Perfect for being in the countryside whilst also being close to St Ives.

'An amazing Cottage!! So perfect in everyway, the attention to detail makes this place extremely special. So quiet with amazing views and wonderful wildlife. St Ives is the perfect place to relax and unwind.' - September 2019

'What a wonderful cottage! This is our first chance to get away following our wedding in May! A belated honeymoon, away from our farm. We have had a wonderful time exploring the area. Lizard Point & Zennor provided amazing coastal walks. We also walked up and over the hill and you can see from the conservatory. Neither of us have been to Cornwall for years and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We were so pleased to be able to extend our stay for two more nights! Now back to reality and the animals! (Don't worry our parents have been holding the fort!)' - August 2019

'Thank you for a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house. We have had a great time visiting the beaches at St Ives and walking along the coast to Zennor. We also enjoyed just relaxing at the cottage - Perfect!' - August 2019

'Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. This was our first holiday in Cornwall and we will certainly be coming back. The cottage was perfect for our family of 5 and we have loved exploring the local area. The children didn't want to leave! Thank you also for the welcome treats and for being wonderful hosts.' - August 2019

'We had a fabulous stay, everything we needed you've thought of right down to the game of UNO that the kids loved. Your house is abolutely beautiful and just to our taste, the views were perfect and you did fabulously with the weather too!' - July 2019
