to Reservoir Cottage in Kingswear, Devon, a beautiful village
on the banks of the River Dart. Kingswear stands opposite
its better known sister, Dartmouth, towards the mouth of the
Dart Estuary. Reservoir Cottage fully exploits its fantastic
location, with stunning views of Dartmouth, the River and
the surrounding countryside from almost every window and terrace.
Dartmouth, with its eclectic range of shops and award winning
restaurants is only a short ferry ride away, whilst Kingswear
itself boasts three pubs. a village shop and a Post Office.
The Dart Valley Railway terminus is located in Kingswear and
steam trains run from Easter through to October from here
to Paignton on the English Riviera.
The beautiful beaches of the South Hams including the award
winning Blackpool Sands are only a short drive away.
There are also several National Trust properties nearby including
Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, Agatha Christie's former home.
Walkers are also well catered for as there are numerous fabulous
routes which start from the front door of this lovely cottage.
Access to the South West Coast Path is a mere five minutes
away and the cottage is well stocked with leaflets and brochures
on local walks and areas of interest.
